Meet Stacy
Stacy
is a Canine Behavior Therapist &
Pet Obedience Instructor.
She has been training people & their
dogs since 1999. She received her certification as a
Canine Behavior Therapist through the Animal Behavior Center of New York.
Stacy has always had a love for animals &
has
the philosophy that dogs are family members, not just pets.
With her relationship-building-approach to training she helps dog
owners build their relationship with their dogs in order to achieve
successful training no matter what the issue may involve.
According to Stacy, a good relationship is the key to a successful &
happy life for both dog & owner. She believes there is
real success when you know how to train correctly, discipline appropriately
& lean on the side that works for the owner & the dog!
Stacy started with "old school" methods that used choke chains & she
discovered that this training rarely, if ever, works for any dog for very
long. She uses positive methods mixed with appropriate discipline that
never uses aversives, jerking or brute force but rather helps the
learning & training process succeed--and the relationship blossoms between
dog & owner!

of 2005, & the Lee Mannix Dog Camp in November of 2007 & April of 2008. Stacy

February of 2007.
She is a mother to her
human daughter, born in November of 2008, as well as to four
beautiful dogs—Amos, a harlequin Great Dane, Trevor, a
rough-coat Jack Russell Terrier, Jake a rescued yellow Labrador
Retriever & Noah, a rescued Katrina dog that appears to be a
Australian Shepherd/Border Collie cross.
She cannot imagine her life without her dogs & she is
involved in as many things as possible with each, including agility,
flyball, hiking, freestyle, therapy work & anything else fun for all parties!
Stacy tries to find new innovative training classes &
activities that dog owners & their family members can participate in that
benefit the dog & the family! Check out the list of all the classes
